CPR Certification (Emergency Cardiac Care)
or Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation consist of learning CPR for Adults, Children and infants along with the use of an Automated External Defibrillator. These courses will prepare you to provide Emergency Cardiac Care or ECC. The course includes learning how to recognize an emergency heart condition, providing basic care such as compression’s and ventilation, scene safety and laws about providing care. There are several possible CPR Certification paths.
COMMUNITY: This class involves learning CPR for Adults, children and infants. In addition to CPR you will learn the use of an AED. The course takes approximately 2 to 3 hours to complete.
WORKPLACE: This class is designed for the workplace and focuses strictly on CPR/AED for adults. The course takes approximately 1 to 2 hours.
WORKPLACE & COMMUNITY: This class combines CPR/AED for both the workplace and the community. You will learn CPR and the use of an AED for both the home and the workplace. When combined with Basic First Aid this course meets most workplace requirements. This course takes approximately 2 to 4 hours to complete.
CPR PROFESSIONAL: This course is designed specifically for professionals working in a First-Responder situations such as hospital staff, police officers, firefighters, etc. This course includes CPR/AED and the use of a Bag Valve Mask (BVM) for single person rescuer, two person and three person rescuers. This course does meet the entrance requirements for students applying to the EMT courses offered at the community colleges. This course takes approximately 4 to 5 hours to complete.
CPR/AED/BFA: This course combines the two aspects of Basic Life Support, Emergency Cardiac Care (ECC) and Basic First Aid (BFA). The course follows the guidelines of CPR/AED and Basic First Aid for the workplace. This course does meet most requirements for Adult Care workers, Daycare providers and designated First-Responders in a workplace setting. This course takes approximately 5 to 6 hours to complete.
BLENDED LEARNING: For those of you whom have time restraints, all of the CPR/AED/BFA classes can be done in a blended format. Call and purchase the program you desire, and complete the KNOWLEDGE portion online at your convenience. Once you complete the course, print out the certificate and schedule a class for the skills application testing. Typically the skills application will take approximately 30 minutes to 2 hours depending on the size of the class.
SKILLS APPLICATION: Skills application test involves a Instructor visibly observing the students performing and evaluating the techniques taught with the online training.
Student must print the certificate after successful completion of the online training. Instructors cannot issue a certification card without your completion certificate.
