MSHA Part 46 Training
Certified MSHA Part 46 Training is required for all miners engaged in Shell Dredging or Employed at Sand, Gravel, Surface Stone, Surface Clay, Colloidal Phosphate, or Surface Limestone Mines all of which are considered Non-Metal Surface Mines.
The Mine Safety & Health Administration or MSHA inspects every surface mine a minimum of twice a year. Whether you are a miner or a contractor working at a mine you must have MSHA approved training. Do not get caught on the mine site without current training. Besides a fine for the mine operator the inspector will issue an order of withdrawal. This order will cause you to be removed from the mine site until you receive the training.
There are several online companies stating you can obtain this training through them. That is not completely true. If a trainer uses the online training in conjunction with a class that is conducted by an approved trainer, online training is accepted as part of the training. There are many stories of contractors ordered off of a mine site by an inspector that did not accept the online training because it did not confirm to the regulations. Don’t pay twice for training in addition to causing a fine for the mine operator.
Arizona Safety Plus can provide your MSHA Part 46 Training. Whether you are an Newly Hired Inexperienced Miner, Newly Hired Experienced Miner, or and Experienced Miner needing Annual Refresher certification.
